November 1996: After playing two successful parties under various band names such as 'Casas de los Fuck You" and 'The House Band' the idea to start Th!nkAdectOmy was born. The trio would consist of NUTZ - Guitar and Lead Vox , KEITH - Drums and backing Vox and GREG - Bass and backing Vox.

March 1st 1997:
The band releases it's first cassette '4 song demo' at the Tennis Records promotional party with Clueless.

March 19 1997:
Th!nkAdectOmy plays it's first official show at Jaime's Bar and Grill in Tucson.

April 17 1997:
Voted runner up in the Tucson Weekly Tammies contest in two catagories. Best 'Hard Rock' band and 'best new band' in Tucson.

November 15 1997:
Band 'officially' releases their second recording titled 'Equilibrium' at Skrappy's.

April 4 1998:
Th!nkAdectOmy plays to the largest crowd to date at the The Reid Park bandshell for Teenfest '98 in front of approxomately 1000 people.

June 19th, 1999:
Th!nkAdectOmy plays Tucson's annual Battle of the Bands contest with Aggressive Sound Session. Although the votes favored A.S.S., Th!nkAdectOmy stole the show with our outstanding live performance.

October 11 1999:
Th!nkAdectOmy is released on a nationwide compilation titled 'Even More Corporate Rock' released by MAS. It features 16 songs by 16 bands from all over the country (1 from Brazil).

October 25 1999:
Th!nkAdectOmy decides to call it quits. This turned out to be a 6 month hiatus. During this time period, Keith joined a band called Breeth (Breathe), Greg joined the band Obscure and Nutz joined Peel.

April unspecified date 2000:
Th!nkAdectOmy decides to get back together to record the material the band once played together. Practice sessions begin for the project.

July 15th-16th 2000:
Th!nkAdectOmy laid down the basic tracks to 23 songs including one brand new song never heard before in Allusion Studios run by Jim Pavett. All drums and bass tracks are finished, leaving the guitar and vocal scratch tracks to be fixed.

September 9th 2000:
Recording guitars and vox on 5 songs is finished. Awaiting a proper mix down.

October 10th 2000:
Greg decides to leave the band to pursue a career in San Diego. Keith and Bryan make the decision to continue on as Th!nkAdectOmy and begin the search for another bass player.

 

November 29th 2000: Ed Downard becomes the new bassist for Th!nkAdectOmy.

March 10th 2001: The new Th!nkAdectOmy line-up play our first show at Brad & Pete's Party.

March 20th 2001:
Th!nkAdectOmy dis-bands for the last time. The band decides to end it's 4+ year run. Th!nkAdectOmy November 1996 - March 2001. Rest in Peace.

    Every show Th!nkAdectOmy played with these bands was a great time. These bands were supportive, but most important they are now our friends. THANK YOU!

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR Th!nkAdectOmy:
    We wrote and performed over 40 songs together. We gigged regulary and started to break into the Phoenix scene. We released two tapes and were accepted to participate on a nationwide compilation CD. We have a half finished recording project sitting in the Allusion Studios waiting to be finished. WE HAD FUN AND WE MADE LOTS OF GOOD FRIENDS!
